Physician Associate required in Leeds up to 45k per annum!
We have a great opportunity for a Physician Associate with a keen interest in urgent care development.
The Physician Associate (PA) main responsibility will be to provide medical care for the presenting patient from initial history taking and clinical assessment through to the diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care, as an integral part of the multidisciplinary team. Therefore, they will demonstrate critical thinking in the clinical decision-making process, including assessment and diagnostic skills, leading to the delivery of safe care for all patients.
They will work collaboratively with the rest of the team to meet the needs of the patients, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures. The PA will provide a holistic and clinical service, with support from GPs as required, implementing agreed management plans and following approved protocols as appropriate. .
Hours: 40 hours/week available, 8 hours per day, 5 days over 7 (including rotating weekends)
The job holder must have the following knowledge, training and experience:
• Member of Faculty of Physician Associates at the RCP, which includes registration on the UK Physician Associate Register (The Physician Associate Managed Voluntary Register (PAMVR)) until such time that the statutory regulation of PA's is achieved.
• Postgraduate Diploma/Master in Physician Associate (formally Physician Assistant) from an accredited UK University
• Valid national certification and recertification every six years as stipulated by PAMVR.
• Desirable - Experience of working in an urgent care/walk-in centre.
• Minor illness/ acute care management

In return there is an excellent salary of up to £45,000 per annum dependent on experience along with an attractive benefits package.
