Dream Medical Limited, working in conjunction with a Surgery in Portsmouth are looking to recruit an Advanced Nurse Practitioner
This Surgery offers a large range of services and the successful candidate will be responsible for running specialist clinics (flexible depending on experience)
Essential:
Qualifications
• First level Registered nurse MSc or equivalent
• Approved and accredited Nurse Practitioner qualification
• Teaching and Assessing experience/qualification (minimum ENB 998 or equivalent)
• Accredited training in Advanced Clinical practice skills including the management of patients with long term conditions and those with complex needs
• Independent Nurse prescribing qualification
Skills
• Nurse led management of minor injuries
• Nurse led for minor illness
• Health Screening
• Health Promotion
• Vaccinations and Immunizations
• Infection Control Practices
• Child health Protection
• Vulnerable Adult protection
• Men's Health
• Women's Health
• Family Planning and sexual health
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Negotiation and conflict management
Other
• Good organisational skills- able to work unsupervised
• IT literate able to use Microsoft software packages such as Word and Excel
• Can adopt a Flexible approach to the needs of the service and its users
The Surgery is open 7 days a week and as a result some out of hours will be required. However, due to large staff numbers this is not a frequent requirement (normally 1 weekend in 4 and 1 late shift per week)

My client is looking for the very best nursing staff in the area and as a result a salary of £40,000 £50,000 is on offer.
To be eligible for this position, you must be a practising nurse in the UK and have evidence of this. You must be fully qualified and have an up to date & clean registration with the NMC. Ideally they are looking for a minimum of 5 years experience in Primary Care but this can be flexible in exceptional circumstances.
